This week:
Practical Action in Kenya signed a partnership agreement with Solar Sister in Nairobi to empower women entrepreneurs in clean energy and promote a just and inclusive energy transition.
This partnership is set to make a significant difference. It will facilitate training, information sharing, and the distribution of clean energy cooking and lighting products. Moreover, it will create awareness and enhance women’s business resilience, paving the way for a brighter future.
“I am excited to kickstart this partnership! With our common goal of putting women at the forefront as energy providers, we are going to put our best foot forward to show how we truly care about women by recognizing that access to clean energy is a fundamental human right and not a luxury!”
Finora Manyala, Country Director, Solar Sister, Kenya
Purity Ndereba, Project Manager, Practical Action Kenya, said:
“We are happy to partner with Solar Sister. This partnership will strengthen our work in supporting women energy entrepreneurs to become change makers and leaders in driving climate resilience through distribution of clean cooking and lighting products.”
