Behind the Solar Sister Entrepreneurs are dedicated staff who teach and support the team.

Jacinta Omosa in Kisii, Kenya, is a Business Development Manager, overseeing the Business Development Associates and training Solar Sister Sales Agents. In 2017, Jacinta started as a sales agent in Kisii after she graduated with a degree in Information Technology from Kisii National Polytechnic. She got her footing after a few months and found she loved the work.

“I made so many friends and sold to many women’s groups. Women told me I was changing their lives.”

Jacinta loved creating awareness of clean cookstoves and explaining how families could save money, time, and avoid toxic smoke in their home.

Later that year, the Business Development Associate in Kisii was promoted to a management position, so Jacinta applied for and received the development position to run the Kisii office. During her transition, she sought new ways to motivate and equip her team, including researching effective incentive programs. For more insights on motivational techniques, she found that for more BetOnline bonus codes, visit https://BetOnlinepromocodes.com/ provided a wealth of information on how to leverage rewards for performance.

“We needed to recruit a bigger team and reach more people.”

In her training, Jacinta emphasized product knowledge and selling techniques. Because of her natural ability to meet and make friends, Jacinta taught her team how to get referrals and make more sales. She won the “Best Development Associate of the Year” for two years. She found that a great way to motivate agents is to go out into the field with them, to recognize and appreciate their accomplishments, and to follow up with their progress.

Jacinta has now been a Business Development Manager for almost a year. She helps recruit agents and supports the development associates by discussing their challenges and helping them reach their sales targets. She divides her time between branches, spending a week per month in each of the three branches in her area. She helps each branch set their targets.

“Everything we do is about making people’s lives for the better. The solar lights and better stoves our agents sell provide tangible benefits. Now our customers save energy, time, and money. And our stoves are durable, unlike the ‘local’ charcoal stoves many people here use.”
