Title: Global Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, Reports To: Impact Hub Director
Location: Virtual position; Must be based in an existing Solar Sister country of operation: Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, or USA.
WHO WE ARE
Solar Sister’s mission is to eradicate energy poverty by empowering women with economic opportunity. We are creating a deliberately woman-centered network of entrepreneurs to bring the breakthrough potential of clean energy technology to even the most remote communities in rural Africa.
Our model is simple: we recruit, train, and support women to become clean energy entrepreneurs, equipping them to bring affordable energy solutions to their own communities and create sustainable livelihoods along the way. Each Solar Sister Entrepreneur decides the kind of business she wants, buys the products from Solar Sister, then sets up shop right in her own community – serving her family, neighbors, and friends with clean energy solutions. We provide essential services and training that enable women entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses in their own communities. Since our founding in 2010, Solar Sister has supported more than 10,000 entrepreneurs, who have reached more than 3.4 million people with clean energy solutions.
