By Omowumi Johnbull, Compliance Manager, Solar Sister
At Solar Sister, continuous improvement remains central to how we work. Following our 2025 internal audit review, we are proud to share the strong progress made across the organization over the past year.
Compared to the previous audit cycle, we recorded an overall improvement of approximately 75% in key compliance and operational areas. This includes stronger documentation systems, more timely reporting processes, better use of digital tools, and improved alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
We also saw notable growth in several focus areas:
- 65% improvement in documentation digitization and record accessibility
- 70% improvement in reporting consistency and process follow-through
- 80% improvement in the use of internal systems and tools for tracking performance and operations
- 75% improvement in governance, accountability, and internal controls across functions
These results reflect the dedication of teams across all operations who continue to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and accountability in their day-to-day work. For example, wider adoption of tools such as Salesforce, Taroworks, and PerformYard has improved system tracking, reporting visibility, and performance management processes.
While we celebrate this progress, we also recognize that improvement is an ongoing journey. Each audit gives us the opportunity to refine our systems, close gaps, and build an even stronger organization.
We are grateful to every team member who contributed to this growth through commitment, teamwork, and a shared focus on excellence. Together, we are building a stronger future and increasing our capacity for lasting impact.
